Scare Away Cancer is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to help families who need support as they fight cancer. The Scare Away Cancer Haunted Halloween fundraiser is coming up on October 27, 2018, at Anthony's Steakhouse in Omaha.
Scare Away Cancer's Boo Brew 4 at Infusion Brewing Company was the biggest one yet! This is regarding attendance and money raised. 247 people attended the July 13th event which raised $5,200 for Scare Away Cancer. 100% of the money raised goes directly to cancer patients, families, and programs.
"I am amazed at how this event has grown," said Paula Ebert from Scare Away Cancer. "People believe in our mission and want to help any way they can."
This year's event was the first at Infusion Brewing and Tap Room. Four locally brewed craft beers by Infusion Brewing provided everyone with plenty of hops.
"Infusion Brewing hit it out of the park," added Scare Away Cancer's Tony Fucinaro. "The outside beer garden tent was a huge success and the weather was very cooperative."
Boo Brew is an event designed to be laid back and raise awareness of Scare Away Cancer, its mission, and where the money raised goes to throughout the year.
Scare Away Cancer will hold its 7th Annual Haunted Halloween event October 28, 2017, at Anthony's Steakhouse.
Top 40 dance band MoSynth will provide entertainment at the 2017 Scare Away Cancer Event. MoSynth takes today’s hits and infuses them with a high dose of stage power. State-of-the-art audio and visual technology make their show something unique and exhilarating.
"We are so excited to have MoSynth perform at this year's event," said Scare Away Cancer's Tony Fucinaro. "We like to think we throw the best Halloween party in Omaha and I know MoSynth likes to party and will be in full costume like all of our attendees."
Manuel de la Torre, the manager for MoSynth, says the band likes to play and party at Halloween events. "You will hear a great variety from current hits to songs that take you back all the way to the '70s. Rock, Pop, Disco, Country, Hip-Hop, and more! Our show is fresh and unique and combined with Halloween, it will be a night you won't forget! We're ready and excited for this and October 28th can't come soon enough!"
In six years, Scare Away Cancer, its sponsors, and its attendees have raised over $500,000 for cancer patients and programs in eastern Nebraska and western Iowa.
The 2017 Scare Away Cancer Bash is October 28, 2017, at Anthony's Restaurant in Omaha. Tables sell out fast so make sure to reserve yours now! Also, Scare Away Cancer supports patients and families all year long. Please consider a donation to help us continue our mission.
